Evening Primrose Oil – Ease Breast Pain, PMS & Arthritis

Box of Evening Primrose Oil

How Evening Primrose Oil changed my life. PLEASE NOTE – I am not a medical professional, If you are experiencing breast pain, please seek medical advice.

Since my early teens I have had an issue with breast pain, it only affects my left side. I kept it to myself for many years as the pain would come and go. When it flared it felt like a shooting pain that would go through the centre of my breast. I would have to cuddle and even crush my breast to try and stop the pain, I used to cry in agony with it.

At 28 I finally went to the GP about my pain. They said I was suffering from mastalgia. I was giving some pain relief and sent on my way.

Mastalgia effects up to 70% of women. It is usually goes away on its own and can be caused by Menstrual cycle · birth control pills · hormone therapy · psychiatric medication or breast cancer

The years went on and I continued to have the pain. In Dec 2018 my GP referred me to see a breast specialist as my breast pain was unbearable.

Within a few weeks I found myself having a breast scan to rule out anything sinister. The breast surgeon said there was nothing wrong, however, he explained that the pain was more than likely linked to a hormone imbalance.

The surgeon suggested I’d try Evening Primrose Oil. He said he recommends it to all his patients who have mastalgia.

I researched Evening Primrose Oil online and found there was no scientific evidence to state that it worked. Studies conducted showed mixed results and most of the studies had been small so further research was needed. I disregarded the studies, as complemtary therapist, I know that little research goes into holistic and natural medicine in the UK.

While researching I found that Evening Primrose Oil can also be used the treat the following conditions.

Evening Primrose Oil can treat conditions such as:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
  • Eczema or atopic dermatitis and other skin conditions
  • Breast pain during menstruation
  • ADD
  • Asthma

I began taking Evening Primrose Oil in January 2019. I started on a supermarket branded Evening Primrose Oil at 500mg. Within 3 months I was feeling a difference, my breast pain was more manageable but it was still painful. I decided to increase the dose to two 500mg doses once a day.

This offered me even more comfort and as a bonus my hair and skin was feeling softer. Many of my friends asked what face cream I was using as my skin looked vitalised. I wanted more of this wonder supplement.

I searched the web for a stronger Evening Primrose Oil and come across Troo Health Care, an ethical and environmentally friendly company that ships 1st class for free. All products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans and the packaging is 100% recyclable.

I purchase Troo Health Care Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg, 90 Capsules at £11.97. I take two capsules a day – The capsules provide GLA & Vitamin E. Evening primrose oil is obtained from the seeds of an evening primrose plant. It contains a special fatty acid called gamma linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is an Omega-6 oil.

Although our body can make small amounts of GLA, this can be affected by factors such as ageing, smoking, pollution and nutritional deficiencies. Supplementing daily with Evening Primrose Oil provides a regular source of essential GLA.

The Vitamin E is an antioxidant, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress symptoms are:

  • Fatigue
  • Memory loss and/or brain fog
  • Muscle and/or joint pain
  • Wrinkles and grey hair
  • Decreased eye sight
  • Headaches and sensitivity to noise
  • Susceptibility to infections

I have been taking Evening Primrose Oil for over a year now and I can 100% say that my breast pain is a thing of the past. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. Its a life changer!

You really have nothing to lose by trying.
